What are the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS)?
The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) is a graduate academic qualification. *Its also called an “Advanced Certificate” (AC), Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS), or a Certificate of Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS), is a post-Master’s academic certificate designed for professional and non traditional students, as well as practitioners who seek a continuing education program to enhance their professional development in areas such as real estate, finance and engineering.
CAS programs offer specialized knowledge, enabling students to acquire additional qualification in a certain subject area and enhance their professional development. CAS courses are completed through part-time study while working and are considered as higher continuing education programs. A CAS may in certain cases comprise part of a Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS) or a Diplomas of Advanced Studies (DAS).
